Pool Party at Reagan's!!!

Hayden was invited to a pool party at Reagan's house a couple of weeks back. I was so sad that I couldn't make it, but my sisters reported that Hayden had a BLAST! She slept through most of the party (it was during her nap time) but when she was awake, she was living it up! She loved splashing around in the water and frolicing with Reagan! She's a little flirt, she takes after her mother, sorry Dan! And of course Reagan is an Itri, so you can only expect that the Itri charm rubbed off on him...

At the Philadelphia Zoo with the Oertly's

We spent the morning at the Philadelphia Zoo with the Oertly girls on Saturday! What a fun time! The morning started off pretty nice, the weather was tolerable and we were able to enjoy seeing the African animals, the petting zoo, exotic birds (we loved the indoor exhibits!!!) and the monkeys before it got too hot to tolerate! Lunch was yummy but the heat was too much, so we cut the day early! We had such a blast! Thanks for joining us at the zoo Savanah, Gabbie, Emeline and Melody! We're going to miss you lovely ladies! See you in February!

Wildwood NJ with my family

We got a call early Sunday morning from my parents asking us to go to the shore with them for the day. Dan had to work, so I got Hayden and myself ready for some fun in the sun! They were calling for some scattered showers, but we decided to take our chances. Summer is almost over and we don't know how many more trips to the shore we'll get this year.

The day ended up being perfect! It rained a little on the drive down but by the time we made it down to Wildwood, the weather had cleared up. We ate lunch at Sorrento's Pizza, played in the sand and the water for a few hours, and then got some ice cream to finish off the day!

Just after placing our order for ice cream, I got a call from Dan letting us know a huge storm was heading our way, so we packed our things and headed for the cars. We made it out of there just in time! We didn't hit any traffic (which is not typical for a Sunday evening!) and got hit by the storm on the highway. At least we weren't on the beach when the storm came in! We were able to beat it this time! We're hoping to get in at least 1 or 2 more trips to the shore before summer comes to an end. Let's just hope we get sunny days! No more rain, please!

Wildwood, NJ 2009

Even though we were all a little "under the weather", we decided it would be worth it to take Hayden to the Jersey shore on Monday. Rain or shine, nothing was going to get in our way! We did get a couple of hours to play in the sand and catch a few waves before it poured on us. I don't mean a little down pour, I mean all out MONSOON! We got drenched from head to toe! But it was all well worth it to be able to enjoy a little time on the beach with our little water baby!

She loved playing in the sand and eating as much of it as she could! And the water was heaven to her! She seems to really be in her element when she's in the water.
