Date Night

I feel so lucky. We got a double dose of date night this week!

On Monday night we went to this fantasic restaurant in University City called Distrito. It's this off the wall Mexican joint started by Jose Garcia. (We are on a huge Jose Garcia kick right now) The food was fantastic! Everything was made to share, so we were able to sample lots of different dishes without getting too full. It's supposed to be a Tapas style (small plate) restaurant, but the portions were a little larger than we had expected. When we placed our order, the waiter had to stop us and let us know that we were getting too much food. He was soooo right! After the first 3 plates came out and we saw how much was on each plate, we got a little overwhelmed. All in all, we did enjoy the food! Very tasty! The restaurant itself was pretty cool. Everything was bright colors, from the chairs, to the tables, floor, walls, EVERYTHING! They even had some tables where you would sit on one side on little stools and on the other side of the table you would sit on these swings! The whole place was a little out there! All that excitement was followed by date night #2. Tuesday night was Phillies night! We had 2 awesome tickets right behind home plate! Great view, a little rain, but I can't really complain! At least the game wasn't delayed or rained out light... I was happy to see our fightin Phills win another game, beating the Florida Marlins 5-3! Go Phillies!

This has been a fun week so far!
